This year’s UK festival season is shaping up to be one not to be missed. With a star-studded line-up and hosted in one of the country’s top musical capitals, the upcoming Parklife Festival in Manchester is sure to be one of the real highlights of the summer. Here’s a quick rundown of everything you need to know, and how to attend!

What is Parklife?

Parklife is one of the UK’s most popular independent music festivals, held each year in Manchester. It’s organised by a variety of different leading festival groups, and this year it’s to be held at the stunning North Manchester venue of Heaton Park, offering the perfect space for an authentic festival experience and a variety of fantastic music stages. Parklife began life in 2010 and has grown each year to it’s current stature as one of the top festivals in the country.  This year’s festival is from Saturday June 9th - Sunday June 10th 2018.

Which acts can I see?

The line-up for this year’s Parklife is bigger and better than ever before, with top musical talent from around the world jetting in to be there. Saturday’s line-up includes The XX, Lorde and N.E.R.D, while Sunday sees Manchester-legend Liam Gallagher take centre stage, alongside Skepta, CHVRCHES and Everything Everything.

What else is happening?

It’s not just the music that draws in the crowds at Parklife. The brand-new VIP Colonade is a major feature this year, with secret stages, special bars and much more besides. La Discotheque will be paying homage to the world of disco with podiums, DJs and plenty of flamboyance, while on-site pub The Heaton will help keep the drinks flowing. There’s everything from burgers to prosecco in store, as well as free phone charging points to ensure uninterrupted snapshots of your experience.
